Trevor Bassitt Two Time State Champion

(COLUMBUS) - In his final high school race, senior Trevor Bassitt captured his second career state title.  The veteran hurdler earned gold in the 300 hurdles with a school record time of 38.92 seconds.  Bassitt was narrowly defeated in the 110 hurdle race with a time of 14.26.  He had won the 110 in 2016.  

The Pirates also got three points from a sixth place finish in the boys 3200 relay.  The team comprised of Isaac Andreas, Baylor Garmatter, Antony Kingsley and Christopher Harnish ran a time of 8:08.92.  

As a team, the Pirates tied for fourth place with 21 points.  East Canton won the Division III state title with 49 points.
