Lady Pirates Advance to District Final

(BLUFFTON) - The Lady Pirate soccer team gutted out a 4-2 win over Ashland Crestview in the wind and rain to advance to the District Final.  Clara Mathews scored twice in the win along with goals from Laykin Garmatter and Allison Diller. 

Garmatter opened the scoring with Crestview quickly tying it up at the 32' mark.  Mathews scored her first at the 35' mark but the visitors were able to tie the game up before halftime at 2-2.  Diller put Bluffton ahead in the 46th and Mathews added an insurance goal at the 51' mark which held for the remainder of the match. 

Pirate keeper Julia Mehaffie had two saves in the win.  Bluffton got assists from Olivia Mathews and Reagan Mittendorf. 

Bluffton is now 15-2-1 on the season and will face top seeded Liberty Benton in the District Final.
