Team 7th, Nygaard 3rd at Kalida

(KALIDA) - Sophomore Eric Nygaard finished third in 16:44 to lead Bluffton's cross country team to a seventh place finish out of 23 teams at the Kalida Wildcat Invitational.  Nygaard was nipping on the heels of second place Ryan Otto (Napoleon) who crossed the line just 1.9 seconds quicker. The race was won by Elyria Catholic's Matt Krese in 16:31.

The girls were led by Amairi Painter's 61st place finish in 23:32.  Caitlyn Dailey was 76th at 24:21 and Kaelin Weissling 77th at 24:26. With three runners, the girls squad did not have a team score (five runners required).
