Lovett Advances, Team Fourth at Sectionals

By

(ARLINGTON) - The Pirate golf season came to a close, for the most part, with a fourth place finish at the OHSAA Sectional Tournament held at Sycamore Springs Golf Course.  Kenny Lovett shot an 84 to advance as an individual to the District meet next week.  Bluffton shot a team score of 366, compared to event winner Allen East's 340.  The top three teams advance to the District meet and the Pirates trailed Pandora Gilboa (349) and Van Buren (360).

Lovett's 84 led Bluffton as he has all season.  The junior laden squad followed in step with two man Micah Minnig shooting 92, three man Wes Brauen carding a 94 and four man Jaden Coonfare ended with a 96.  Jacob Boisvert (103) also shot for Bluffton in the fifth spot.

With no seniors on the roster, the Pirates will be experienced and hungry in the fall of 2021.
