Schriner, Spallinger Each Score Twice vs AE

By

(HARROD) - Allen East's boys soccer team employed a simple tactic to limit the damage coming from Bluffton's juggernaut offense:  Drop as many players back into the box and clutter up the box.  The strategy stymied Bluffton for a while but eventually the Pirates broke through again and again, eventually leaving town with a 4-0 win.

Jonathan Schriner slipped a successful strike through the rubble at the 22' mark and the score held through the half. The second half opened more opportunities and the Pirates quickly converted.  Jude Spallinger slotted through just four minutes into the half and Schriner added a second goal three minutes later.  Spallinger added a final parting shot at the 73' mark.

The Mustang strategy allowed zero offense as the hosts had zero shots on goal for the entire game compared to 14 for Bluffton.

With the win, BHS improved to 8-0-1 on the year including a 2-0 mark in the Northwest Conference.  The boys are gunning for their fifth straight, outright NWC title.
