Boys Soccer Routs Bearcats

By

(BLUFFTON) - Three games in and the goal totals continue to rise for the boys soccer team.  The defending Division III state runner up squad left little doubt who is the class of the Northwest Conference from the opening whistle tonight.

Simon Derstine opened the scoring just four minutes in with a rocket left foot shot.  The Pirates had already peppered the Spencerville net at this point and Derstine broke through. Jonathan Schriner finished a cross six minutes later to put Bluffton up 2-0. The senior then added two more tallies as Bluffton cruised to a 6-0 halftime lead.  Josh Mehaffie & Tayton Kleman also added first half goals.

Collin Oglesbee kept the goals coming just three minutes into the second half with Luke Shepherd and Nolan Hoffman (2 goals) finishing out the scoring effort.
