Boys Fall to Van Buren

By

(BLUFFTON) - Two teams just outside the state rankings in Division III boys soccer met Tuesday night at Steinmetz Field.  Van Buren and Bluffton entered the game with one loss each and it was the Black Knights that poured in three second half goals to earn a 4-2 victory.

Luke Young sent two corner kicks that were finished by Jonathan Schriner and Asher Antrim to give Bluffton a 2-0 first half lead.  The Knights slipped in their first score with just 30 seconds remaining in the half by Brady Loshowitz.

VB evened the score at 2-2 at the 50’ mark and added two later goals to surge ahead.  Bluffton outshot Van Buren 6-5 on the evening.

Bluffton’s record is now 8-2-3.
