White, Garmatter Score in Tie


(BLUFFTON) - Bluffton and Riverdale battled to a 2-2 draw Saturday evening in the unrelenting rain.  The Pirates are now 1-1-2 on the season.  

Riverdale took a lead at the 21' mark of the first half, a lead they maintained nearly to halftime.  With 3:11 left in the half, Sophia Smucker passed to Laykin Garmatter who knotted the score at 1-1.  BHS took a 2-1 lead with 22 minutes left on a Kayla White penalty kick but the Falcons tied it back up just 74 seconds later.  

Riley Busch made 9 saves in goal.  Bluffton outshot Riverdale 15-10.  Both RHS goals were scored by Hanna Breidenbach.
