Tennis Third at Thunderbird Invite

(LIMA) - Bluffton finished third of six teams at the Thunderbird Invitational Saturday. Ottawa-Glandorf won the tournament and participants included Shawnee, LCC, Maumee Valley Country Day and Lima Senior.  

Justin Haggard finished second at First Singles, dropping his first match of the year to Shawnee’s Michael Rutter.  Haggard won his three other matches. Kory Strahm was 0-3 at Second Singles.  Drew Wilson & Christian Groman finished 1-1 at First Doubles.  Eden Nygaard & Grant Klinger went 1-1 at Second Doubles including a tie breaker 7-3 victory in their final match.  

Connor Lee & Jordan Siefer were the runners up at Third Doubles.  The duo won their first two matches before falling in the final.
