BBK Comes Back for Road Win

(FOREST) - Bluffton’s boys basketball team defeated Riverdale by a 51-45 score Saturday evening to improve to 8-10 on the season.  Dakota Bricker led three Pirates in double figures with 14 points. Kaleb Jefferson added 12 and Mason Soper 10.

BHS led 15-5 after one quarter of play, with Bricker scoring 6.  Soper added 5 in the quarter with both players hitting a ‘3’. The Falcons outscored Bluffton 16-9 in the second quarter, cutting Bluffton’s lead to just 24-21 heading into halftime.  Another strong quarter saw Riverdale take a 34-32 lead into the fourth.  

Many different Pirates stepped up in the fourth as Bluffton came back to win on the strength of a 19-11 advantage.  Jefferson poured in 8 points, Mason Ault scored 4 and Jared Piercefield connected from long distance.  BHS made bank at the free throw line, hitting 8/9 attempts in the final 8 minutes.
