BBK: Lincolnview 60 Bluffton 46


(MIDDLE POINT) - Lincolnview improved to 5-1 in league play with a 60-46 win over Bluffton in a makeup game from earlier in the season.  The Pirates bolted out to a 7-4 lead on buckets from Mason Soper, Dakota Bricker and Cole Fruchey but the Lancers closed the quarter with a 15-2 jaunt to lead 18-9 heading into the second quarter.  The game stayed close until late in the second quarter when Lincolnview connected on a three pointer to take a 32-20 lead.  Bluffton was whistled for a foul during the shot giving the ball back to LHS who promptly hit another ‘3’ for the rare six point possession.  BHS trailed 35-17 at the break. 

Kaleb Jefferson scored 6 points in the third quarter as the Pirates tried to stay in it however the Lancers continued to use their defense to force turnovers and quickly score.  Late in the third quarter, LHS led by as many as 27 however Bluffton scored the final seven points of the quarter to cut the lead to 56-36 heading into the fourth.
