Bluffton forced 23 first half turnovers to build a huge lead.  The Commodores gave the ball away on their first nine possessions against Bluffton’s full court pressure and ended the first quarter with 14 miscues.  However, even after Bluffton pulled their press back and sat in a 2-3 zone for the entire second quarter, Perry still had nine turnovers.

Coach Eric Garmatter played the team’s starters for the first four minutes of the third quarter before making a line shift substitution.  The squad of Ashley Eachus, Brinkley Garmatter, Laykin Garmatter, Cierra Ackerman and Grace Myers closed out the remainder of the game and played hard through the final buzzer.  The Pirates worked against the Perry 2-3 zone for most of the second half and repeatedly found good shots.  Eachus and Schaadt each scored six after halftime.

For the game, Bluffton shot 28/66 overall (42%) including a 23/44 (52%) from two point range.  Perry connected on just 4/30 field goals overall (13%) and finished the game with 31 turnovers.
