Crestview Quick Start Hurts Pirates

(CONVOY) - A veteran Crestview team scored the game’s first 13 points and eventually added on to run away with a 43-25 Northwest Conference victory.  

Bluffton again was outsized for the third straight game facing Crestview’s 6’7” Kaden Etzler. However, the Pirates hung tough in the first half with a stellar defensive effort, holding Crestview to just 19 points in 16 minutes.  Kaleb Jefferson scored the first Pirate points with 6:17 left in the second water after trailing 8-0 after one quarter.  Jefferson scored all but two of Bluffton’s first half points as BHS played without point guard Luke Denecker.   The Knights held a 19-7 halftime lead. 

In he third quarter, CHS got white hit from the three point arc, draining five long balls in the quarter.  A reasonably close game suddenly was 40-18 after three quarters.  Dakota Bricker led Bluffton with 12 points on the night.  

Bluffton falls to 1-2 and Crestview improves to 2-1.
