Boys Soccer Wins 7-0

(BLUFFTON) - The boys soccer team opened the 2017 OHSAA tournament with a resounding 7-0 win over Miller City Saturday evening at Steinmetz Field.  The Pirates will now take on Temple Christian in the District Semifinals at Kalida Tuesday night. 

Luke Young put Bluffton ahead just eleven minutes into the contest. Tristan Smucker added a seconds goal at 23’ and Jesse Montel put BHS up 3-0 sith just seconds left in the half.  Smucker and Montel put the game out of reach with goals in the first seven minutes of the second half.  The remainder of the game turned into a keepaway match.  Jackson Steinmetz and John Schriner both scored with less than ten minutes to go off of Colin Oglesbee assists. 

Dakoda Clymer and Nic Essinger combined for the shutout for BHS.
