Tristan Smucker NWC Player of the Year


Tristan Smucker, anchor of the Bluffton boys soccer midfield, was named the Northwest Conference Boys Soccer Player of the Year in voting done by the league's coaches.  Steve Smucker was also voted the Coach of the Year after leading the team to a 5-0-0 mark and third straight conference title. 

Tristan scored 8 goals and 4 assists and is crucial to the team controlling the pitch from his defensive midfield position.  

The boys team was lauded with 10 players receiving NWC honors.  First teamers included Smucker, Jesse Montel, Luke Young, Jordan Siferd and Matt Daws.  Dakoda Clymer and Zach Basinger were named Second Team NWC while Simon Derstine, Braden Conrad and Noah Fredritz all earned Honorable Mention NWC honors.
