Tennis Season Comes to an End

(LIMA) - Lucie Fett advanced to the sectional quarterfinals before bowing out of the OHSAA tournament ending a very successful season for the Bluffton girls tennis squad. 

Fett dominated Van Wert's Ali Morrow 6-0, 6-0 to open her tournament run.  Lucie kept rolling with another 6-0, 6-0 victory this time over Ottawa Glandorf's Lindsey Schneeg.  In the quarterfinals on Saturday, Fett fell 6-3, 6-0 to eventual Sectional Champion Clare Caywood of St. Mary's.  

Erin Hotmire defeated Bath's Fayme Ghandi 6-1, 6-0 in her opening match.  Erin lost a hard fought match 2-6, 6-3, 7-5 to Kenton's Mykaela Schriber.  

Katie Wright fell in her opening match 7-5, 6-2 to LCC's Anna Janowski.  

Caity Zimmerman & Amelia Mitchell fell in their opening match 6-5, 6-2.

 

Emma Klinger & Raychel Avila got a first round bye and fell in the Round of 16 by a 6-1, 6-2 count.
