(VAN BUREN) - The Bluffton boys soccer team began a testing stretch of games Tuesday night at Van Buren.  The Knights, followed by games with Shawnee and Kalida will be a measuring stick for BHS as they get ready for the looming postseason.  On Tuesday night, Van Buren got the better of the Bluffton in a tightly contested game.

The game's first goal did not come until the 60th minute when Van Buren was awarded a penalty kick and converted.  Less than a minute later, Tristan Smucker crossed a ball that John Schreiner finished to knot the game at 1-1.  Four minutes later, Black Knight Nick McCracken headed home a corner kick that proved to be the game winner.

Bluffton outshot the hosts 6-4 and Pirate keeper Dakoda Clymer made two saves.  Bluffton is now 7-3-2 on the season.
