Jesse Montel Notches Hat Trick


(BLUFFTON) - Bluffton opened their defense of the Northwest Conference championship with a convincing 6-0 win over visiting Lincolnview Tuesday evening.  Junior Jesse Montel scored three goals to lead the Pirates. Classmate Luke Young added two of his own and freshman Colin Oglesbee rounded out the scoring.  

Jordan Siferd added an assist as did both Young and Montel. 

The Pirates held a huge advantage in shots on goal at 25-1.  Pirate keeper Nick Essinger made one lonely save for the shutout victory.  

Bluffton has now won five straigh matches and will host Celina Saturday at Steinmetz Field.
