Montel's Two Goals Pace Pirates


(WAPAKONETA) - Tristan Smucker put Bluffton ahead just forty seconds into the game and the Pirates never looked back as they won their third straight match.  Jesse Montel added a second goal ten minutes later off an assist from Luke Young.  The Pirates took a 2-1 lead into halftime but pushed it out to 4-1 quickly. 

Freshman Tayton Kleman scored his second goal of the season off another Young assist.  Moments later Young found Montel one more time and BHS led 4-1.  Wapakoneta outshot Bluffton 8-7 on the evening.

Bluffton improves to 3-2 with the win. The Pirate junior varsity squad also was victorious by a 4-0 score with goals from Josh Mehaffie, Asher Antrim, Angelo and Thad Mittendorf.
