Ladies Frustrated at Ada

(ADA) - Bluffton wrapped out fourteen hits but only pushed two across the plate in a 3-2 softball loss at Ada.  Bluffton fell to 4-2 overall and 0-1 in Northwest Conference play with the loss. 

Ada took a 1-0 lead after the first inning but Bluffton tied the score in the top of the third. The Bulldogs pushed two more runs across the plate in the bottom of the third for a 3-1 lead and held the Pirates off for the victory.  

Senior Taylor Monday had a nice day at the plate picking up four hits in four appearances.  Monday stole three bases as well.  Katie Prater and Jazmynn wilson each went 3-4. Prater hit a double as did fellow freshman Averey Rumer. 

Sami Fruchey pitched six innings for BHS giving up 10 hits and striking out seven in the loss.
