Ladies Season Comes to an End

By

(BLUFFTON) - The last time Bluffton's girls basketball team faced Coldwater in the OHSAA tournament, the Cavaliers handed BHS a 73-20 defeat.  Bluffton was hoping for a different outcome when the two met at Bluffton University in the Sectional Final.  Coldwater was able to pull away in the fourth quarter for a 58-39 win.

Freshman Alivia Koenig scored the first 11 points for the Pirates but Coldwater was on fire from deep and the Cavs built an 18-11 lead after one quarter.  BHS sliced the lead to 29-23 at the half.  The Pirates cut the lead further down to 39-35 heading into the fourth.

The Cavaliers were able to limit the Lady Pirates to just four fourth quarter points on their way to the victory.

The loss ends Bluffton's season at 15-7. Taylor Monday was the lone senior on the Lady Pirate squad.
