30 Point First Quarter Leads to Win


(BLUFFTON) - A "you had to see it to believe it" start for the Lady Pirates paved the way for a 68-49 win over Riverdale.  Bluffton put up 30 first quarter points, ending the stanza on a 22-0 run enabling the blowout. Abbie Parkins (13 points, 3 threes) and Averey Rumer (8 points, 2 threes) were the big threats for Bluffton.  

Balance carried Bluffton the rest of the way as the visiting Falcons could not focus solely on Parkins & Rumer.  Four Pirates ended up in double figures.  Andie Schmutz ended with 18 points, Parkins 15, Rumer 12 and Alivia Koenig 11.  

Bluffton improved to 12-4 on the year with their tenth straight win.
