Molly Lengyel had 21 vs FJ

Seniors Molly Lengyel and Mariah Welch led Bluffton on a valiant fourth quarter comeback Saturday afternoon against Fort Jennings but came up just short as BHS fell 61-59 to oFort Jennings.  Blufftoon trailed by as many as twelve in the fourth quarter before clawing their way back forcing turnovers and feeding Lengyel in the post.  The senior scored 12 of her game high 21 points in the last eight minutes.

Unfortunately for the Pirates, one glaring item was free throw performance.  The Pirates shot just 6/13 from the stripe for the game, and were 0/4 in the fourth quarter.  The Musketeers drained 7/11 in the fourth quarter to secure the win.

Fort Jennings Taylor Wallenhorst gave the Pirates fits in the first half, scoring 19 points.  BHS contained her in the third quarter, giving up just two points but the FJ senior was 6/6 from the stripe in the fourth.  Lengyel was everywhere for Bluffton with her 21 markers and 10 rebounds.  Welch scored 18, many on drives to to the hoop as Bluffton kept it close down the stretch.  Sierra Amstutz added 10 points for Bluffton, now 1-3 on the year.
