Matt Suderman scored the game winning run
Bluffton took a giant leap towards their first NWC baseball title with a thrilling 5-4 win over Lima Central Catholic in ten innings. Bluffton jumped ahead 2-0 and increased the lead to 4-0 in the fourth but LCC came storming back. In the sixth, LCC got to starter Nathan Cheney who had been absolutely cruising up until that point. LCC got two across in the frame and Gabe Goldsberry switched spots with Cheney after BHS coach Matt Scholz made his second visit to the mound. Goldsberry got out of the bases loaded, no outs jam but not before two tying runs scooted across home. Evan Skilliter knocked the game winning hit and Matt Suderman crossed home in the bottom of the tenth, setting off wild jubilation in Pirate-land. Bluffton is now 16-3 overall and a perfect 7-0 in the NWC. Click here for game photos from Troy Breidenbach! and
