Tied 1-1 after one inning, Bluffton and Delphos Jefferson appeared to be locked into a real dogfight in NWC baseball action. Unfortunately for Delphos, they stopped scoring. BHS pushed across six more in the second and EIGHT more in the sixth on their way to a dominant 17-1 victory.
Gabe Goldsberry went the distance for BHS, striking out six. The junior also excelled at the plate with a 4/4 effort and four RBI. Clay Wannamacher flexed his muscle, blasting a homer and rapping two singles. Nathan Cheney and Logan Steingass each had two hits.
Bluffton remained perched atop the NWC with a perfect 6-0 record. The Pirates are 15-3 on the season and face a stiff test tomorrow night when LCC comes calling to Bluffton.
