Boys Open NWC With Win Over AE

Nathan Cheney ratcheted down Allen East, holding them to just three hits while the Bluffton offense broke out of the stable scoring eight runs on nine hits. Bluffton improved to 7-1 with a 8-1 home win. Cheney is now 2-0 as a starter.
BHS put up three runs in the first and matched the effort with three more in the second for a 6-0 lead. It was 8-0 when AE put their lone run on the board in the top of the seventh.
Matt Suderman had another big night at the plate, hitting a single, double and triple. The senior also swiped a base. Cheney had two singles and a two bagger as well. Gabe Goldsberry nailed a double and knocked in a run.
Allen East was further handcuffed by four errors. Bluffton improved to 1-0 in NWC play.
