Coming into the game, the rap sheet on Pandora was that they were inconsistent from the outside so the plan was to sag in on Josh Lee and see what happened.  The Rockets seemed to have ‘one of those nights’ against Bluffton as it seemed just about everything they shot from outside the arc went in as they bombed their way to a 59-41 win in the Treasure Chest.  Pandora is now 11-2 and ranked twelfth in the latest state poll.  Bluffton fell to 3-11 and caught PG on a white hot night.  The Rockets shot 7/16 from outside the arc for a scorching 44%.

PG was missing 6’7” senior Tyler Gratz due to a leg injury but the Rockets didn’t need him.  Bluffton’s man to man defense yielded some outside shots early on and the Rockets hit two 3s on their way to an 11-3 lead just minutes into the game.  Tyler Breidenbach answered with a ‘3’ of his own and Michael Donley added a fast break layup to get BHS within 11-8.  But Pandora ended the quarter on a 6-0 rush, capped by, what else, a ‘3’ at the horn.  PG kept right on rolling in the second, scoring the first five points.  Levi Gleason, who led all scorers with 21 points, ended the jaunt with a bucket down low but Zach Niese answered with another ‘3’, triggering another 9-0 PG run.  At the half the score was 31-12.

Josh Lee, hounded by early foul trouble, came alive in the second half and ended with 14 points for PG who led 45-24 after three quarters .  Zach Niese drilled three 3’s on his way to 13 points and Justin Schutz added 10 for PG.  Gleason led Bluffton with 21.  Matt Gillett made two 3s and finished with 9.  RJ Stratton added 4, Breidenbach 3, and Donley 2. The Pirates travel to Columbus Grove Friday.
